Morphe 35O2 Review

EEEEK, my first Morphe Palette! So, if you saw my Christmas Wishlist last year, you would know that I wanted the Morphe 35P palette. My brother told me on Christmas day that he went to order it for me but it actually went out of stock, so had to buy me something else (which I was totally fine with). I thought I'd wait to be paid from work and then I would treat myself to it instead but it was still out of stock. I ended up falling in love with the look of the 35O2 palette and ordered that instead! I'm sure I'll still buy the 35P at some point, but I am so glad I got this palette. Today I thought I would give my own review of the palette.

Purchasing details:
Cost: £23
Retailer purchased from: Beauty Bay
Shipping: Paid Standard and came within 2 days

I always get amazing service from Beauty Bay and it came full packaged and protected, which is a huge tick in my books.

The packaging is really nice. If you are unaware, Morphe revamped during October 2017, including different packaging and a new logo. I think it looks really nice. The black makes it look really sleek and the new logo is very professional compared to the older one. This is my first Morphe product (but certainly not the last), so I have nothing to compare it with, however Morphe is all over social media, so I'm sure you can see the difference for yourself. The only thing I would say is that I wish the names of the eyeshadows were printed on the actual palette rather than on a plastic slip, just because I'm always losing things. So far, Its still in tact but I'm not sure how long that may last haha.

The actual product is AMAZING! The pigmentation is insane and the colours are so beautiful. I have become a huge fan of warm tones recently and this is a dream. If you love warm tones, YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR LIFE. It has really pretty shimmer shades and some of the most creamy and buttery matte shades. I would say the matte shades are actually slightly better than the shimmers, in my opinion- which is actually amazing, since many brands tend to fail with the matte colours.

I took photos of a few swatches down below.

This is a palette that you could use for everyday or for a glam look. It has a bunch of neutral colours but also some bright and bold shades like the reds and that super intense black called Whiz. It is the most pigmented black I have ever used. You definitely need to take your time with it, because the pigment is so high with this one.

The colours work so well together and they blend so well.

Overall, I am loving this palette and if you're debating getting it, I say go for it. It is definitely worth the money.

If Life Isn't Going Your Way, Read This.

You might think that you're at breaking point, you might think you've hit rock bottom, but you know what is so good about hitting rock bottom? The only place you can go is up. Life throws curveballs and sometimes it throws way too many for us to handle. It can be so easy to feel like giving up when life gets tough but you are going to get through this. No matter what it is that you're going through, you're going to make it through the other end.

You woke up this morning, which is the perfect reason to keep on going. Someone this morning did not have the privilege of waking up to see another beautiful day, yet you did. Surely that means you have so much more to offer to the world and things are going to get better.

I've found that the funny thing about life is that it is ever-changing. If things can go from good to bad, it can be reversed. I totally understand that it doesn't always seem that way when you're going through rough patches, but its true. Maybe you're broke, maybe you're insecure, maybe you're lonely, but all these things can change. Look at all the successful people in the world. All of them had to face challenges and make sacrifices but they kept going and look at them now. Their name is known for their great achievements. This could be you. Don't let your story be what defeated you, but what made you. Your story could prove to someone else that things really can turn around. You could be that person who makes someone see their worth and get a little stronger day by day.

It may not get better overnight, but you'll pull through. You may still cry yourself to sleep until your pillow is drenched for a while, you may still struggle to get out of bed in the morning for a while longer but you'll soon be ok. You may overthink until you're shocked at your own mind, you may isolate yourself from the people you love most, but one day, one day, you'll smile a little wider and laugh a little harder. You'll see the light at the end of the tunnel.

One day, you'll finally be able to wear whatever you want with confidence, meet new people without fear of rejection, buy your dream house, wake up next to the person you feel entirely comfortable with, who loves all of you unconditionally and look back at this day knowing you made it through.

Everyday is a step closer to the exit of this rut. Keep telling yourself you're almost there. Happiness is behind the door, so be prepared to see it. You just have to take it one day at a time.

January Academic Goals

HAPPY NEW YEAR! First month of the year and I'm feeling good. I hope you are too!
It's been great to take it easy and have a bit of a break during holiday season, but now it is time to get back into work mode. Today, I bring to you, my academic goals for the month of January. If you are unaware of this "series", it's something that I started in September 2017 (mainly to hold myself to account), where I share my educational goals with you all. Basically things I need to get done or want to get done by the end of each month. Check out the ones I did last year under the Life category and also make sure to follow me here so you don't miss future months.

OK, let me just get on with it!

1) Finish English Coursework

I finished my investigation piece and it was graded (which I was extremely proud of) and I have now written my original writing piece. All I have left to do is my commentary piece and then get everything graded. Unless you do or teach English Language A-level, you're probably not going to know what in the world I am talking about but just know I am almost at the end haha. I am so ready to have my grade and be able to focus on exam content, once I am done.

2) Completely finish EPQ

I actually should have completed all of this during December but due to the weather conditions, we had two snow days and one of them fell the day before my presentation. Due to this, our mentors cancelled all presentations for that day and rearranged them for January. Once I am done with the presentation....NO MORE EPQ! WOOP WOOP. It's not that I hated doing it, it just took so much of my time and I am very pleased to be almost finished with it. I hope it was all worth it and I get a good mark.

3) To finish my first book of the year

I have made it a goal of mine to read more this year. I only managed to read 4 or 5 books in 2017 (I know, really bad), and I want to try and read a book per month this year. It's going to be a task because as an English Student, I already get assigned with things I have to read and research, so finding time to do personal reading is tight, but I want to try. The first book I would like to read hasn't arrived yet, but as soon as it comes, I'm getting straight into it. It sounds amazing and I can see myself finishing it fairly quickly. Fingers crossed.

4) Start to convert some of my notes into neater versions

I have so many notes that it isn't possible to do this for them all but for my notes that I have taken in lessons, which are quite rushed or messy, I want to spend time re-writing them. I learn well when my notes are neatly constructed and concise, so I would like to make sure all my notes look good. I specifically want to do this for history since there are loads of stats and dates, that I want to be clear.
