Instagram Feeds You NEED To Be Following #2

WOW! So I did this post a while ago and it is currently my most popular post, so clearly you guys loved it. It's time for post number 2.  Here are more Instagram feeds that you need to be supporting and following.

The first person you need to be following is @sophierimmerr. She is the same age as I am and she is doing extremely well for herself. She is constantly working with the most amazing brands and creating amazing content on Instagram. If you want to see a girl boss just follow her account. We've gotten to speak a few times and she is so lovely, not to mention how GORGEOUS the girl is. I mean just look at her!

The next person you should be following is @julietteetmary. She has such a great feed. She is always out and about doing the most fun things. I love how simple yet professional her feed looks. It's definitely the sort of feed I would go for if I was capable of keeping a theme.

@seewantshop has one of the most incredible feeds. She always seems to be doing something fun and out there. All her pictures are super clean and crisp. She 100% makes me want to leave my bed and actually do something aha.

@stephaniegrecco has a great account. She deserves a lot more followers for sure so hopefully this post will help her out with that. She puts so much effort into her posts and it definitely shows off her personality. Just by her feed you can see that she is quite laid back and simple, which I love.

@mary_pollypock has such an awesome feed. She's a beautiful girl for one and she is very consistent which is always nice. Her feed has a mixture of everything and I really like those sort of feeds as its kind of like a digital journal.

@lilia_rt has a vibrant and fun feed. It includes a lot of food, which of course everybody adores and i'd say it reflects the summer season really well. It definitely gets me in the summery vibe anyway.

The final feed is by @noortjelueb. I love that it is so cohesive but also interesting. Her pictures all co-ordinate without being similar. Its very cool. She seems so lovely and again, I really love her simplicity.

So these are the feeds being featured in this post. If you know anybody that has a great Instagram then leave me their name below and if YOU want to be featured, leave me your Instagram below too. Make sure to follow me on Instagram @chelle._babes (plug plug).

My First Year Of Sixth Form Experience

Yay! First year done. I am praying that I don't find out on results day that I have to do it all over again. This has been one roller coaster of a year. Since I'm officially done until September, I thought I would share with you my experience of year 12. This is purely going to be a reflection of the year, but I will be doing an advice post very soon as it has been requested quite a bit.

Settling in:

When I first started sixth form, I didn't fully understand that I was no longer a school student. Of course I knew, but it still hadn't hit me that I had actually graduated high school. My sixth form is/was (its complicated) linked to the school I went to so I knew almost everybody anyway, therefore making friends wasn't too difficult. However, the fact that I was no longer a school student was crazy to me. It took a while for it to feel real. I got used to the building and the teachers very quickly though and that made it a lot easier to adjust to the big change. When you spend 5 years with the same people and building but the familiar places and spaces are suddenly removed, it can be quite daunting, so I was proud of myself for adjusting so quickly.

Comparison to Year 11:

We were constantly told by our teachers and even ex students that sixth form was going to be so much harder than year 11. You don't really believe it until you're in that position. I knew A-levels would be harder than GCSEs but I had no idea how much of a jump it actually is. Its so hard to believe it when people tell you but it really is true. GCSE exams are the sort that you can get away with not studying for and pass, if you're naturally clever, however even the most intelligent and academic people can fail their A-levels if they don't study for it.

In terms of "freedom", you do get a lot more of it when you go to sixth form. You're treated more like a young adult than a child which is obviously great, however in year 11 you're still very much spoon fed information, but when you do your A-levels (possibly BTEC too but I can only talk from experience), you are expected to do your own research and revision. You are basically given the information like a pinch of salt and you have to do the rest. I would say its impossible to get an amazing grade just by doing the classwork.

In comparison to year 11 the amount of content you have to know and learn at sixth form is so much bigger. Don't think that because you're only doing 3/4 subjects, its easier. I thought that and I was completely wrong. I would much rather do 12 GCSE subjects than 3 A-levels (If I could choose). I studied MORE this year than in year 11 and I didn't think that was physically possible.

I definitely found year 12 easier than year 11, purely because I learnt how to deal with stress, whereas during year 11 I had never had to deal with that sort of stress before, so it was a lot harder to cope with. Overall though, year 12 is much more difficult than year 11, however it was bearable.

Classes:

Our classes are literally tiny. There were 3 other people in my English class, 8 other people in my politics class and 9 other people in my history class. I don't even have a class with more than 10 people. I find it nice that way because you get more 1-2-1 time with your teacher if its needed, you become quite close with your class very quickly and its a lot easier for the teacher to get around everyone if people need assistance.

The classes can vary when it comes to level of difficulty. It all depends on the topic. For example in history I understood the society side straight away but it took a while to understand the economics side. English was definitely my strongest class of the three and I think enjoyment has a lot to do with it. Its the subject I enjoy the most so I'm keen to do my own research and study about it. Politics is also interesting but there is so much content that it was just difficult to understand it all.

Exams:

I'm going to be honest here. As hard as I have worked this year, I am incredibly nervous for results day. For every subject I had 2 papers and each subject I did, I had one good paper and one bad. It could honestly go either way. There are some papers I did that I completely beat myself up over as soon as I closed it and others that I thanked God for because it could have potentially saved my grade. The English exam was a lot more emotional for me as its my strongest subject but in both papers I don't think I did enough to reach my target. I think I did pretty well in history and politics is a 50/50, but I'm trying not to have any expectations.

I'm glad they're over. I worked so hard for every single subject so all I want is to make it into year 13 and for it all to be worth the hard work. Results day is August 17th so I'm praying daily.

Appearance:

This is a pretty random subtitle to put in here but I thought I would include it. I have worn uniform from the age of 3, so not having to wear uniform to sixth form seemed like a blessing to me. To a certain extent it is but its also a bit of a hassle. Everyday we have to wear business wear, which I don't mind, however its so frustrating having to find a new outfit to lay out and iron for the next day, EVERYDAY. I started the year off with coordinating outfits and ended the year with goodness knows what. I honestly just couldn't keep up with it. Uniform is a lot easier, I'll tell you that.

Even when it came to makeup, it was exactly the same. I started off with nice makeup and all and ended with minimal or unblended makeup because I was constantly in a rush or just didn't care. Nobody judges you though because I feel like its the same for us all.

Feeling towards my final year:

Its so crazy to me to think that I have one final year until I move out and go to university. I remember starting year 7 like it was yesterday. I already know that year 13 is going to be the busiest and toughest yet but i'm ready for the challenge. Its going to take up a lot of my time, be much harder and a lot more stressful but I know i'll get through it and it will be a great year. I'm nervous for next year but I'm keeping my head in my books and eyes on the prize.

Let me know your sixth form experience if you have any.

My Fitness Goals: Summer Edition

Before I start, I just want to say that I am so sorry for not posting in a week. I've been EXTREMELY busy. I went on a trip with some friends and was obviously super focused on having a good time and then spent 3 days doing DofE (which I passed, woo!) and then another 2 days recovering from all that haha.

Today I thought I would share with you my fitness goals for the summer, In the summer in particular, I am so motivated to keep fit and be healthy, so I thought I would talk about my goals for the summer.

This is quite a random post in comparison to what I usually post but then again my blog has no boundaries or structure.

General Information:

I'm 5'2 and 54KG
I have some problems with bloating and Indigestion
I used to be a gymnast

I thought I would share with you this information just so you guys can understand a little bit about my body and shape currently and it may make it slightly easier to see any progress or understand what improvements I'm trying to make.

Exercise:

I'm not planning to lose any weight or anything this summer but I do want to tone up.

I'm planning on working out in some way 4 times per week.

I may do a mixture of jogs in the morning, home workouts and dancing.

I used to be a gymnast and was very flexible but I no longer compete or train so I've definitely lost some of my flexibilty. I would love to get back to looking how I used to when I did and hopefully get my moves back. I'm planning on continuing my stretches everyday (more strictly than currently) and making more use of my garden since the weather is good, to help with that.

Diet:

My diet hasn't been so great recently. I've been eating so much junk and my skin definitely shows that. I'm not drinking my litre of water like I usually do and I've been starting to drink a lot more fizzy drinks which I cut out earlier this year but some how its making its way back into my life.

I'm challenging myself to drink nothing but water throughout the day and then juice with my dinner so i'm not super bored. The only down side to me drinking so much water is that I pee 24/7. Not fun.

When it comes to food, I'm trying not to eat super greasy foods (hard when you're Jamaican) and I'm incorporating lots of veggies. I love vegetables and salad so this bit really isn't a challenge for me.

I'm definitely attempting to make as much of my meals as possible and not eat takeaways, unless its a cheat day. However I am going to America for 2 weeks in August so i'm 99.9% sure I won't stick to that for those 14 days ahaha!

What I want to see changes with:

I am hoping to sort out my bloating problems. I may make a doctors appointment just to find out what it is that is causing me to bloat. If its genetics then I obviously can't do much about that but if its a certain type of food then I can cut it out of my diet.

I want to tone up my legs, bum and stomach as much as possible as its bikini season and I want to look my best for my holiday. The villa we are staying in has a 24hr gym too so even when i'm there I can be working out. Hopefully I'll burn all the calories from the endless amounts of food i'll be intaking.

Besides my body itself, I want to see someone improvements to my energy. I'm aiming to get atleast 8 hours sleep per night and to be more energetic throughout the day. During the school term I always felt tired, so I want to start back in september feeling awake.

If you guys want me to do a few what I eat in a day posts or progress posts then i'll try my best to do those and let you follow my fitness journey this summer!

So these are my fitness goals for the next month and a bit.

L'oreal Infallible 24h Foundation Review

Hey guys! So today I'm coming at you with another review. Today I am reviewing the L'oreal Infallible Foundation. I have had this foundation for about 2 months now and I've just started to test it out properly, so I thought I would give you my thoughts.

For the past 2-3 weeks I have been obsessed with having a flawless base. My Go-To look this week has been a fresh, glowy and bronzed base with minimal on the eyes and lip balm. I just find it really appropriate for summer. Due to gravitating to this type of makeup look, I have been on the hunt for a good foundation for the perfect base, so expect more foundation reviews in the future.

What I look for in a foundation:
  • Good Coverage (Medium- High)
  • Long lasting
  • Satin Finish
  • Light-Medium Texture
Foundation Claims:
  • Medium Texture
  • High Coverage
  • Matte Finish
  • 24hr wear
The shade I got in my foundation: 30 Honey
Amount of product: 35ml

As you can see, these foundation claims tick a lot of boxes, bar a few, however they're still great for the summer time. Although I tend to love more illuminating and satin finishes when it comes to foundation, in the summer having matte foundation is actually a good option as it is easy to get oily and sweaty throughout the day. I have combination skin and it gets more oily in the summer time.

(Thursday)

This foundation claims to be 24hr wear which is a very bold claim. I like a long lasting foundation so it will be interesting to see how long it really lasts. I'm going to keep a timer on my phone all day to see how long the wear is. As I write this, it is Thursday evening but I will be writing the other half of this post on Friday evening just before I publish it, to tell you my actual thoughts.

One other thing that I notice is that it claims to be medium texture, so I am intrigued to see if I can feel it resting on my face or if it isn't all that noticeable. I hate heavy feeling foundations as it feels like a mask and its not the most comfortable, especially in the summer,

(Friday)

Evening guys! So I am back to tell you my thoughts on this foundation, after wearing it all day.

I finished applying my makeup at about 7am this morning, including primer, the foundation, cream contour and highlight, powder, bronzer and highlighter. The foundation was slighty too pink toned so I added half a pump of a more yellow toned foundation so it would match. Because of how little I added, It should not have affected the wear time or finish.

I applied the foundation with a sponge. My base looked really nice and smooth. It definitely had a matte finish and It didn't feel heavy on the face.

My first check in was 11:15am. At break I went into the toilets and checked to see how everything was looking. My base looked pretty much the same but some of the product on my chin started to fade away. I expected this as this is always the first place that my makeup rubs off as I tend to rest my hand there a lot. It was no surprise and I do not blame the foundation.

My next check in was 1:57pm. I had a quick look before I ate my lunch. This time I started to get slighly oily and more of the product began to slighty fade. This included my chin, nose and right cheek. My nose began to get oily which again I suspected as this is the first place that gets oily on my face, however I did have high hopes due to the claim for it being matte and 24h wear.

My third check in was at 4:24pm. By this time, my whole t-zone was looking kind of shiny, which was disappointing. The foundation also started to cling to some dry patches and into my smile lines. I applied a little bit of sheer powder to control the shine (which worked) however by doing so, my makeup looked a little more cakey, regardless of it being a sweep of product. I feel like it just clung to the dry patches even more so it didn't look so smooth anymore.

My final check in was at 6:30pm. For the most part it was still in tact. It didn't look as smooth as it originally did but the coverage was still at a medium I would say. Some blemishes came through but thats expected after 6 and 1/2 hours.

I took all my makeup off at about 7pm.

Overall the foundation for me was a 5/10. It isn't terrible and the coverage was there, however it isn't the sort of foundation I personally would be obsessed with. I would say the foundation could probably go 15h but not 24h. I wore the foundation for a total of 12hrs. I wouldn't repurchase simply because I'm not that into matte foundations and the shade wasn't right for me. On the other hand, if you have really oily skin and you have a pink undertone then why not give it a shot. It only cost me £4.99 which is so good and its pretty decent.

I hope you enjoyed this in depth review.
